When you lead, you create a very specific challenge: the number of people you can turn to for real guidance diminishes dramatically. At the same time, you create something else: the opportunity to decide your own reality.
So you can do what you were meant to do…
You probably aren’t quite like everyone else; most of our clients aren’t. They’re disruptors. They’re intelligent risk-takers. They’re deal-makers in their own way and know how to create businesses from seemingly nothing.
And when they do, they also create the challenges that come along with those businesses: higher than normal risk, activity clutter, tax complications, capital efficiency problems, corporate structure issues, and professional teams of bright advisors that aren’t working in concert. Quite simply, we help them handle all that, so they can do what they were meant to do.
It happens a little differently…
While our clients look to us for perspective and answers on many issues, our real strength rests in our ability to offset risk in their businesses and their lives. The answer to “risk” for most entrepreneurs is to take on more risk. But when much or all of their wealth is wrapped up in the business, it creates a scenario that’s untenable and unstable.
To stabilize the risk, we work closely with other professional advisors on the client’s team, and make carefully assessed and judicious recommendations for advanced insurance products that bring the flexibility our client wants, along with the protection they need.
The process helps our clients create simplicity and clarity so they can make decisions confidently. You can expect to experience four stages in our process:
Stage 1 – Discovery
The process begins by understanding what you’re facing, what you’re wanting and what’s getting in the way so that the real challenges are clear. We also want to understand who else is advising you, what work has been done so far, and how we can best contribute.
Stage 2 – Recommendation
With clear gaps in mind, we assess how to optimally address them and provide clear recommendations that will address the challenges.
Stage 3 – Underwriting
Insurance-based solutions require that clients qualify for them. Those qualifications are typically health-based and the underwriting process will help identify your suitability for a specific solution, and will impact how different options are priced.
Stage 4 – Decision & Implementation
With a clear picture of what you want, why you want it, the gaps, and ways to address them, you are faced with a decision to implement. We’ll support you in that decision with an aim to give you the freedom to do what you’re meant to do.
There’s an impact.
Making an impact is important to our clients, and it’s important to us – we like to help. There are some very concrete results when we work with our clients:
- Wealth transfers between generations more easily
- Capital dividend structures reduce tax erosion
- Family dynamics become simpler and easier
- Families feel safer and more confident, even in the face of business risk
- Insurance can be used as a fund, not just protection
- Real estate re-capture expenses decrease
But most importantly, you’re free to create reality – ultimately, the job of any leader.
